Insect Steam & Heat Spray Treatment 1-3 Rooms
Advanced heat technology to wipe out pests for good.
Service Description
A comprehensive thermal pest control solution that uses high-temperature steam and targeted heat sprays to eliminate insects at all life stages. This eco-friendly method effectively penetrates deep into crevices where pests hide, ensuring a thorough and lasting result for your home or business. 1. Steam Treatments (Targeted Contact Kill) Steam treatments use specialized machines to deliver super-heated "dry" steam (typically between 180°C and 200°C) directly onto surfaces. • How it works: The intense heat triggers a thermal shock that instantly dehydrates and kills insects and their eggs within seconds Where it excels: It is ideal for exposed areas like mattress seams, upholstered furniture, curtains, and baseboards. It is completely non-toxic and chemical-free, making it safe for immediate use on fabrics Limitations: Steam can only kill pests it directly touches. It cannot penetrate deep inside thick walls, under floorboards, or deep into heavy furniture padding where insects frequently hide. Insecticide sprays utilize active chemical formulas (such as cypermethrin or prallethrin) applied to surfaces, cracks, and crevices. • How it works: Knockdown ingredients provide rapid results against active bugs, while residual ingredients stay active on the surface for 8 to 12 weeks. Any nymph or adult that crawls over the dried spray over the following weeks absorbs the poison and dies. • Where it excels: Sprays act as the perfect defensive line. When thermal treatments force hidden insects to scatter, or if eggs hatch after a localized treatment, the chemical residue ensures they do not establish a new colony • Before Steam / Heat Treatment: Clear all clutter, thoroughly vacuum the floors, and remove any aerosols, pressurized cans, lighters, or oil paintings that could burst or melt under high heat. For full thermal treatments, fire alarms and sprinkler systems must be isolated or deactivated. After Spray Treatment: Do not vacuum, mop, or deeply clean the treated perimeters for at least 2 weeks. Doing so prematurely wipes away the microscopic chemical crystals needed to eliminate newly hatched nymphs. The "Bait" Rule for Bed Bugs: If treating for bed bugs, you must continue sleeping in the affected bedroom after the treatment. Bed bugs are attracted to human warmth and carbon dioxide; your presence coaxes them out of hiding and forces them to crawl across the newly treated zones
