2 Visit Bedbug Insecticide Spray Treatment 1-3 Rooms
Professional pest elimination to keep your home bug-free 24/7.
Service Description
A comprehensive two-part insecticide treatment designed to eliminate bedbug infestations at the source. This professional service includes a thorough initial application followed by a targeted follow-up visit to ensure long-term protection and peace of mind. A two-visit bed bug spray treatment is the standard professional protocol required to completely eliminate an infestation, typically spaced 10 to 14 days apart. The first visit kills active adult bed bugs and nymphs using a combination of fast-acting knockdown insecticides and long-lasting residual sprays. Because chemical sprays generally cannot destroy unhatched eggs, a second visit is strictly necessary to kill the newly hatched nymphs before they reach maturity and reproduce The 2-Visit Treatment Timeline • Visit 1: Knockdown & Residual Coating: The pest control technician treats primary harborage areas including mattress seams, bed frames, skirting boards, and furniture joints. They apply a residual chemical or an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) that keeps killing bugs over time. The In-Between Phase (7–14 days): During this window, remaining eggs begin to hatch. As these newly born nymphs crawl across the treated surfaces to feed, they absorb the residual chemical barrier and die Visit 2: Final Eradication: The technician returns to apply a secondary treatment. This catches any lingering insects or late-hatching nymphs, successfully breaking the breeding cycle The success of a two-visit spray relies heavily on how well the rooms are prepared beforehand • Launder all fabrics: Strip all bedding, clothing, and curtains. Wash them at a minimum of 60°C, dry them on high heat, and seal them in heavy-duty plastic bags away from the bedrooms. • Clear the room: Move all clutter off the floor. Empty wardrobes, drawers, and bedside tables entirely so the spray can reach deep into structural cracks. • Deep vacuuming: Thoroughly vacuum the mattress, box spring, carpets, and baseboards. Immediately dispose of the vacuum contents or bag in an outdoor bin. • Expose the walls: Pull all furniture and bed frames at least 30cm away from the walls to grant full access to the skirting boards Do not vacuum or mop: Avoid cleaning the treated floor boundaries for at least 2 to 4 weeks following each spray. Cleaning will wash away or lift the microscopic residual chemical barrier prematurely Continue sleeping in the room: You must continue to use the affected bedroom as normal.
